2025 Flagship Pioneering Fellowship

Flagship Pioneering is looking for extraordinary scientists, engineers, and physicians for the 2025 class of Flagship Pioneering Fellows. Immersed in their unique company creation process, Fellows start by asking “What if” or “If only.” Working in teams, they use their scientific instincts and creativity to generate novel scientific concepts that go beyond existing scholarship and challenge dogma. Fellows then learn to iterate, challenge, and shape these ideas into unreasonable yet compelling hypotheses with the potential to produce pioneering new ventures.
Runway Postdoc Program

This program is designed for recently graduated PhDs from deep tech backgrounds who have a startup idea. It is open for domestic and international PhDs. The Runway Startup Postdoc Program is part business school, part research institution, and part startup incubator. Based at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, Runway ushers recent PhDs in digital technology fields through a paradigm shift — from an academic mindset to an entrepreneurial outlook.
Runway provides an impressive package valued at $175,000 in the first year and $150,000 in the second year, which includes a salary, research budget, housing allowance, space and more. Learn more about benefits and perks here.

Looking to make a real-world impact with a technology you’ve developed at Cornell? The Ignite Fellow for New Ventures program funds and trains Ph.D. and master’s holders with entrepreneurial outlooks to start technology ventures.
During the 12-month fellowship, fellows work in their faculty inventor’s lab for technology development and report to one of the incubator directors at the Center for Life Science Ventures, Praxis Center for Venture Development, or Runway Startup Postdocs for business development support.
Ignite Fellow for New Ventures is administered by the Center for Technology Licensing, a division of Research & Innovation at Cornell University.

Academic Grant Program for Researchers | NVIDIA
APPLY by February 5
The NVIDIA Academic Grant Program supports academic research by providing access to NVIDIA’s cloud, hardware, and software resources. Benefits include research grants, support letters for grant applications, and opportunities for promotion and networking through NVIDIA’s channels.
To qualify, applicants must be full-time faculty at accredited institutions awarding PhDs, and projects must use NVIDIA technology. The program is competitive, with calls for proposals in areas like generative AI, simulation and modeling, data science, graphics and vision, and edge AI. Applications must follow the proposal template and meet all requirements.

In 2011, the U.S. National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) program was launched to support NSF's mission through experiential learning using the customer discovery process — allowing teams to quickly assess their inventions' market potential. I-Corps prepares scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory to increase the economic and societal impact of NSF-funded and other basic research projects.
